National Human Rights Forum
2025 December 10 | 9:00 - 18:00
On International Human Rights Day, December 10, the eighth National Human Rights Forum will take place in Vilnius, inviting the public to join discussions on human rights and on building a Lithuania where people of all nationalities, races, faiths, genders, social backgrounds and beliefs can live well — everyone.
A new feature of this year’s forum is an awards ceremony recognizing individuals and initiatives selected by the public for their outstanding contributions to human rights in Lithuania.
During the forum, academics, representatives of state institutions, non-governmental organizations and the international community will discuss a wide range of human rights issues: the right to housing, societal polarization, healthcare, the role of women in armed conflicts, data ethics, the protection of transgender people, and more.
This year’s event is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, with the accompanying slogan: “Europe Begins with People.”
Open Lithuania Foundation as organizational partner of the event will moderate the discussion “NGO Policy: Are We Increasing The Sectors’ Transparency or Insecurity?”
