🎉 The start of a new year is a great time to look for new ideas, like-minded people and partnerships! 🗓️ On 22 January 2025 at 6.30 pm, we invite you to #DemocracyDrinks, which we have dubbed this time “Social Partnership: dialogue”. 🤝🌍.
Our guests: Julija Markeliūnė, Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Telia Lietuva and Lina Januškevičiūtė from Diversity Education House.
💡 Social inequality, exclusion and lack of diversity are just some of the challenges that businesses and NGOs work together to address.
📣 We will discuss how these two sectors can work together to achieve common goals and contribute to a sustainable future 🌱✨ and together we will find answers to these questions:
🔹 Social responsibility – how is theory reflected in practice? Why does business want to contribute to sustainable initiatives and innovation?
🔹 What are some successful examples of business-NGO cooperation that have had a positive impact on both the partners and society as a whole?
🔹 How can NGOs better understand the interests and priorities of business in order to propose mutually beneficial partnerships?

🤝 #DemocracyDrinks is an international initiative offering a networking space for democracy defenders and supporters. Events are already taking place in Zurich, Montreal, Helsinki, Kathmandu, Washington DC and more. Vilnius is the city of 1️⃣3️⃣, where every month civil society, activists, business and academia are invited to meet and talk about the state of democracy and its challenges. In Vilnius, these meetings will take place on the third Wednesday of every month!
#DemocracyDrinks provide a great opportunity to meet like-minded people, discuss ideas and plan actions in civil society, and foster inspiration and community. The events bring together active people from NGOs, international institutions, think tanks, national governments and missions, academia, PR consultancies, social enterprises and active citizens.
