On February 24, 2025, we mark three years since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine—a moment that changed the course of Europe’s history and continues to shape (and challenge) global democracy. The Open Lithuania Foundation invites you to a special edition of Democracy Drinks, our recurring gathering where ideas flow freely.

🕛February 19th, 6:30 PM
📍Kernagis bar (Islandijos str. 1)

You can register here.

This evening will be a space for open and honest conversation—where we acknowledge the weight of war but embrace the power of dialogue. In a casual bar setting, we will bring together voices that matter to discuss what three years of war have meant for Lithuania and for Ukraine, whose citizens also found safe haven here.

What’s on the Table?

While the final list of speakers is yet to be announced, these are some guiding questions for the evening:
🔵 How has the war reshaped Ukraine’s – and Europe’s – political landscape and particularly civil society?
🟡 What role has Lithuania played in supporting Ukraine, and what more can be done?
🔵 How do we sustain attention and solidarity when war drags on?
🟡 What does “victory” look like, and what future can Ukraine build beyond the war?

This event is neither a lecture nor a panel—it’s a conversation. Expect to hear insights, share your own thoughts, and engage with a community that cares about democracy, justice, and the future of Europe with Ukraine as it’s integral part. 🌻

This event is organized together with Ukreate Hub, a Vilnius based competence center, dedicated to displaced Ukrainians in Lithuania, equipping them with knowledge, skills, network, and other tools to unleash their potential for the future of Ukraine.

This event will be held in English.
