Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working in the field of migration face complex challenges in integration, human rights, and humanitarian aid. People leave their home countries for various, often intertwined reasons – security, demographics, human rights situation, poverty, or climate change. The mixed nature of migration – forced and voluntary migration – raises questions and challenges related to the legal status, integration, and needs of refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants.
